Customers to help shape water plans and prices

Water quality, climate change and affordable prices are the top issues customers want us to focus on according to customer feedback collected as part of our water price review consultation.

From September to December 2021, more than one thousand people shared their views about water quality, wastewater services, water prices and what they expect from their water provider.

Customer insights revealed a strong desire for improvements to drinking water taste, more affordable bills and action on climate change. With these topics in mind, we’re inviting customers to get involved in the next phase of our engagement process by participating in one of two online customer forums happening in April.

Each forum will delve in to a particular topic where we’ll present information and then seek customer views on options and projects to address what customers told us was important during initial consultation.

The forums are an opportunity for customers to influence the services, projects and prices for the five years from 2023 to 2028 and are open to anyone who lives, works or owns property in Westernport Water’s service area.

The three-hour forums will be held online and everyone who participates will be paid for their time in the form of a $100 credit on their water bill or a family pass to Phillip Island Nature Parks.

Dates and times:

  • Monday 4 April, 6.30pm – 9.30pm (Climate Change focus)
  • Thursday 7 April, 9.30am – 12.30pm (Water Quality & Taste focus)
