Annual Water Outlook
Every year ahead of summer, we publish an Annual Water Outlook, which is a summary of our region’s current water supply and demand for the upcoming year. The outlook draws on current storage levels, expected inflow, weather conditions and expected summer consumption to forecast supply security during the year ahead. We use our forecasts when planning for the short, medium and long term to continue ensuring security of our water supplies. The outlook also forecasts the likelihood of water restrictions for towns across our service region over the next 12 months.
2023 Annual Water Outlook.
The Annual Water Outlook focuses on the period between 1 December 2023 to 30 November 2024.
The outlook for the upcoming year indicates water supplies will be sufficient to meet supply and demand requirements to the end of the outlook period, with no requirement to change restriction levels from the ongoing Permanent Water Saving Rules campaign.
