Plumbers can attend an important information afternoon at Westernport Water in November.
The Westernport Water plumbers’ forum this year offers plumbers the chance to have a guided tour of Westernport Waters Candowie Water Treatment Plant
The two-hour afternoon session on 18 November will give attendees a chance to see how raw water is treated at the Corporation’s Ian Bartlett Water Purification Plant and the new fluoride dosing system.
Westernport Water Managing Director Murray Jackson said: “These computer-controlled systems offer a streamlined way to treat and monitor the water quality to the highest standards required by the industry’s safe water drinking code”.
The forum will be leaving by bus from Westernport Water headquarters, 2 Boys Home Rd, Newhaven at 3.00pm sharp.  The session, which runs from 3.30 – 5.30pm also includes representatives from the Plumbing Industry Commission.
Last year’s inaugural forum saw a healthy attendance of 30 participants. “We believe there’ll be more this year, so we’re asking plumbers to register in advance,” Mr Jackson said.
