National Water Week 2020

National Water Week

National Water Week is celebrated annually during October, aiming to inspire individuals, communities and organisations to understand and take action to help protect and conserve our most precious resource – water.

To learn more about National Water Week, go to the Australian Water Association’s National Water Week page.

2020 Theme: Reimagining our Water Future

As our population grows, this will put more stress on our water resources, so how can we reimagine the way we use and reuse water to ensure there’s enough of it in the future? How can we rethink our current water practices to help conserve valuable water resources? What can we do as individuals and as communities to inspire a more sustainable water future?

NWW – Annual Poster Competition

To celebrate National Water Week (19-25 October 2020) Westernport Water and the Australian Water Association are calling for primary students to enter the annual poster competition.

Westernport Water marks NWW each year by running a poster competition for local Primary Schools within our service area, providing a great opportunity for students to put their artistic creativity to the test.

Students are invited to create an A3 sized poster reflecting this year’s theme: Reimagining Our Water Future – reflecting what this world would look like to them.

Entries are invited in five categories:

  • Foundation/Prep
  • Years 1&2
  • Years 3&4
  • Years 5&6
  • Special needs students

There are great prizes to win for both students and schools. Entries close 5pm Friday 11 September 2020.

How to enter

Entries are now open, with letters and entry forms being sent to all primary schools within the region during term 3.

Simply complete the entry form provided below, stick it to the back of your poster and provide it to us by 5pm on 11 September 2020.

This year we will accept entries by post, dropped off to our Newhaven office (by prior arrangement only) or you can scan and email your entry and your entry form

See the competition information flyer and entry form below for all terms and conditions:
