Westernport Water are replacing aging water mains to maintain reliable water supply for the community.
The 1-million-dollar renewal program is part of our broader investment in water infrastructure to enhance network resilience to meet current and future demand.
Five sites across Ventnor, Sunderland Bay, Surf Beach and Newhaven will be upgraded over a three-year period, starting in mid April 2025.
Brief water supply interruptions will be required when water mains are being replaced. Affected customers will be provided advance notice prior to the commencement of work.
What to expect
There will be small interruptions to water supply. Affected residents will be provided forward notice of any planned interruptions to water supply.
Customers may experience cloudy/milky water as a once-off, caused by air in the water main. The water is safe to consume and will resolve once the aerated water has been flushed from the system.
Occasional traffic management will be required to maintain public and contractor safety.
