Cowes Pressure Reducing Valve
The Cowes Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) is located at 2102 Phillip Island Rd, near the turn to Wimbledon Heights.
Works to upgrade the PRV commenced in mid-January 2025 and is due for completion early May, 2025.
These works are essential for maintaining water pressure and minimising service interruptions to customers in Cowes.
On occasion during the works:
- the speed limit will be reduced to 40 km per hour to maintain public and contractor safety. We kindly ask road and pedestrians to observe signage and remain alert to changing conditions around the worksite.
- Customers may have experienced cloudy/milky water around 18-21 March caused by air in the water main. The water is safe to consume and will resolve once the aerated water has been flushed from the system.
We understand that these works may cause minor inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time.
