Let’s bring water into focus
This National Water Week (October 20–26), Australians are being asked to ‘Bring Water Into Focus’ and reflect on the essential role water plays in our lives and take action to protect it.
With dry conditions continuing across Victoria and National Reconciliation Week reminding us of our shared responsibility to care for Country, Westernport Water is encouraging customers to adopt water-wise habits and follow Permanent Water Saving Rules.
Simple actions like watering gardens in the morning or evening, using a trigger nozzle on your hose, and fixing leaks promptly can make a big difference when adopted across the community.
Water connects every aspect of our lives, from the food we eat and clothes we wear to our economic prosperity and community wellbeing. Every litre saved today helps us delay or avoid future water restrictions.
You can easily save water around the home by turning off the tap when you brush your teeth, using the half flush on the toilet, having 4-minute showers, and choosing water-wise plants for your garden.
Explore water-saving tips and ways to reduce water use at home, school, and work on our website.
