The White Ribbon Workplace Accreditation Program recognises workplaces that are taking active steps to stop violence against women, accrediting them as a White Ribbon Workplace.
Westernport Water is currently in the application process of becoming a White Ribbon Accredited Workplace. Managing Director, Peter Quigley, recently spoke to staff about the launch of Westernport Water’s application and the important role we can play in addressing violence against women and children.
White Ribbon Workplaces call for a whole organisation commitment. A commitment to promote respectful relationships, a commitment to gender equity and a commitment to demonstrate a culture of zero tolerance towards violence against women.
The White Ribbon Accreditation is an 18 month journey for the Corporation and its employees, we look forward to sharing our White Ribbon actions and initiatives over this period.
