Westernport Water benefit from community input!

Westernport Water’s Annual Open forum 2010 took place on Thursday 18 November and was a great success with strong community attendance.

For the second consecutive year Westernport Water threw open its doors to welcome its stakeholders and other interested parties to participate in its Annual Open Forum.
Featuring information displays from various departments and showcasing several of Westernport Water’s major projects and initiatives, attendees were offered the opportunity to better understand the role the water corporation plays in the community.
The success of last year’s inaugural event was indicative of Westernport Water’s strong relationship with its customers and stakeholders and this year’s open forum was no exception with attendees engaging with Westernport Water’s numerous industry professionals, both sharing their opinions and obtaining information on issues that were important and relevant to them.
Including a comprehensive speech by Westernport Water’s Managing Director, Murray Jackson, those who attended were given an insight into the inner workings of the organisation. Also, he offered a glimpse into the initiatives of the future, as part of Westernport Water’s five year water plan (2008-2013) and the corporation’s role in the Central Region Sustainable Water Strategy (Action to 2055).
Westernport Water looks forward to next year’s Open Forum but, encourages those with questions or concerns to not hesitate to call Westernport Water on 1300 720 711 or explore our website www.westernportwater.com.au.
