Ride to Work Day 2010

Westernport Water employees use peddle power to travel to work for ride to work day.

In typical Bass Coast weather riders united for the morning of Wednesday 13th October.
Westernport Water employees joined the commuter revolution on National ride to Work Day opting for the bike before breaky.
Braving the wind and rain staff decked out in their rain gear and rolled on their two wheels to meet for breaky at the Big Wave Café.
Some of the crew rode from as far as Kilcunda and others did the cruise along the bike path from Cape Woolamai.
Embracing the concept of getting healthy whilst delivering carbon benefits to the environment, using peddle power as an alternative mode of transport.
Ride to work ambassador Geoff Russell said “Ride to Work Day 2010 was a success, with staff at Westernport Water pedaling a combined distance of approximately 118km. This activity is a positive addition to the organisations health and wellbeing program.”
