Release of Draft Water Plan 3

View our proposed plans for Water Plan 3 and provide your feedback

Westernport Water today released its draft Water Plan 3 document which addresses key issues in relation to water and wastewater services for the five year period commencing 1 July 2013.

The Water Plan document identifies the Corporation’s proposed prices, tariffs, introduction of Guaranteed Service Levels, investment in infrastructure and outlines the major projects planned for the 2013-2018 period.
Managing Director, Murray Jackson, acknowledged the draft plan was prepared following significant community consultation, and developed considering customer views and feedback.
“Over the past six months we conducted information sessions, visited community groups and invited customers to take part in our customer feedback survey, all of which helped shape our draft Water Plan” commented Mr Jackson.
“We have now submitted our Draft Water Plan 3 to the Essential Services Commission and have made it available for people to download on our website, alternatively customers can contact us if they would like a copy” he said.
“I encourage customers to take a look at our Draft Water Plan and submit any feedback for consideration.”
“If you do not have the time to review the entire plan, we have prepared specific customer friendly fact sheets which break down our Water Plan proposals into sections that can be easily understood” Mr Jackson explained.
Community information sessions are planned over the coming weeks, we encourage customers to check our website or keep an eye on the local papers for further details.
