Westernport Water staff has formed a Movember team consisting of Mo Bro’s and Mo Sista’s to raise awareness and funds for the annual Movember campaign.  All funds raised will go directly to support research and programs to enable men to live happier, healthier and longer lives.

“The moustache is the ribbon for men’s health and our team has accepted the challenge to grow a moustache for Movember and fundraise for men’s health,” said Westernport Water Managing Director Peter Quigley.

“Mo Sista’s are also getting behind the cause, encouraging Mo growth and getting active for men’s health.

“The fact is men are dying too young, before their time and for no good reason. Our fathers, brothers and friends face a health crisis that isn’t being talked about.

“We must keep talking and raising awareness of the challenges facing men today. I look forward to seeing the interesting types of Moustaches our team craft and growing the conversation that encourage men to talk more,” Mr Quigley said.

Staff at Westernport Water are supporting the Movember Foundation and have setup a team to pool fundraising, if you would like to donate to the cause and check out our teams progress visit http://moteam.co/wpw-mo-bros

The Movember idea first sprouted in Melbourne in 2003, and today funds raised through the campaign support world class programs in four key areas including prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide prevention.

The Movember foundation is the only global charity focused solely on men’s health.  The charity raise finds that deliver innovative, breakthrough research and is recognised for its fun, disruptive approach to getting men to take action.
