Westernport Water is pleased to invite the community to attend its Annual Open Forum for 2012.
The Forum will be held on Thursday 18 October between 5:30pm – 7:30pm at Westernport Water’s Newhaven office.

Managing Director, Mr Murray Jackson, will present the Corporation’s Annual Report, and Water Plan 3, a five year strategic plan that identifies key activities in relation to water and wastewater services for the 2013 – 2018 period.

Highlighting Westernport Water’s investment in water security Mr Jackson will illustrate how the proposed plans will deliver sustainable local water and wastewater solutions to cater for future growth.

During the evening Mr Jackson will outline the Corporations proposed prices, changes to tariffs, Guaranteed Service Levels, planned investment in infrastructure and present the major projects detailed in the five year Water Plan.

The presentation will feature information displays regarding some of our major initiatives and our water specialists and staff will be available to answer any questions that customers may have.
The forum is being conducted in the lead up to National Water Week 21 – 27 October 2012, which emphasises the importance of water education. This year’s theme is ‘Valuing our Water’, which aims to improve community understanding of water issues in our community and Australia.

Prior to the Open Forum we will be holding an Open Day at our New Phillip Island Recycled Water Plant, on Pyramid Rock road. People are invited to join our team on Thursday 18 October between 12 and 3pm for a tour of the new facilities and to learn more about the benefits of Class A recycled Water.
