Stage 2 Water Restrictions

As of September 1 Westernport  Region Water Corporation will be easing from stage 4 water restrictions to stage 2 water restrictions.

What this means for you?

Drinking water provided by Westernport Water MUST NOT be used at any time to: 

  • Water a lawn area
  • Fill a new swimming pool or outdoor spa without permission
  • Fill a new pond or lake
  • Operate a water toy
  • Wash a vehicle using a garden hose connected to a tap


    Water may be used to:

    • Water a garden by means of a hand-held hose fitted with a trigger nozzle, or watering can or bucket at any time
      or a: 
      (a) manual watering system which operates within the hours of 6.00am and 8.00am and 8.00pm and 10.00pm on alternate days; or
      (b)an automatic watering system which operates within the hours of midnight and 4.00am on alternate days
    • A vehicle may be washed by a high pressure water cleaning device; or a commercial car wash, or a watering can or bucket.

    Vehicle includes boat, aircraft and any other vehicle what so ever, however it is propelled or moved
