National Water Week
National Water Week is an annual event held in October across Australia, hosted by each state and territory. It was first held in 1993. This year National Water Week runs from 18-24 October 2009. The initiative is designed to help members of the community of all ages and walks of life to understand and take action to protect and conserve our precious water resources and habitats.

Giveaway
Westernport Water is giving away outdoor flow restrictors to celebrate National Water Week. The average garden hose uses 15-18 litres per minute. These new savewater! ® tap connectors bring that down to 9 litres per minute. Using a 9 litre per minute tap connector is actually better for your garden. Too much water can create wastage due to run off. Watering with a lower flow rate allows the water to reach the root zone of the plants where it is needed most. Call into the Westernport Water office at 2 Boys Home Road, Newhaven to pick up a free restrictor.
