You can now obtain a rebate on a 4 star energy washing machine ($150) and a pool cover with a roller or reel ($200). The Government has allocated $40 million over four years to extend the rebates for home and gardens and to small business (20 or less employes). The small business rebates will be a totally new part of the rebates.
Rebates on goods purchased prior to 30 June 2011 as part of the Water Smart Gardens and Homes Rebate Scheme can still be claimed up until 30 September 2011.
Be rewarded for buying and installing water smart products in your home
Since the launch of the original Water Smart Gardens and Homes Rebate Scheme in January 2003, there has been an overwhelming response from the public wanting to take part and help save water. Over 145,000 rebates have been approved helping Victorians save over 1200 megalitres of drinking water a year.
The government has committed over $AUD10 million to the program to help Victorians save money and conserve future water resources.
Due to the success of the program and the continued need to protect our precious drinking water supplies for now and the future, the Victorian Government is now providing new rebates under the Living Victoria Water Rebate Program.
