Grow a greener business ... for free
Local businesses can grow greener with a free forum hosted by Westernport Water on November 18.
The one-day workshop will show small and medium-sized business operators how to cut their use of resources ... and save money. The workshop is provided by VECCI and backed by the State Government’s Grow Me The Money project.
The forum, to be held at Westernport Water’s office at Newhaven, includes free morning/afternoon tea and lunch.
Participants will get help in identifying where they can cut their use of resources, make cost savings and gain recognition for their ‘green’ initiatives.
The hands-on sessions with experts will show how to cut water, waste and energy use.
Participants will learn how to communicate their environmental vision to staff and customers. They will be introduced to tools and programs available to help improve business performance. They will also hear about current and likely future regulations.
Attendees will be asked to bring recent power and water bills, which will be used to draft a customised plan for their business.
The free forum will be held from 9am to 5pm.
Places are limited to 12 participants from business employing less than 100 people from within the Westernport Water supply area. Bookings will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
