Murray Jackson

Managing Director

 

Murray Jackson commenced as Managing Director of Westernport Water on 1 September 2008 after concluding a ten year appointment with Genesis Energy in New Zealand. 

His qualifications include a Masters Degree in Business, a Bachelor Degree in Economics and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.  He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia, a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers New Zealand.Murray’s engineering career included
the commissioning of coal fired power plants in Victoria and New South Wales and in 1993 he took up the position of Commissioner of the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric Authority. 

Murray is a guarantor member of the Mt Eliza Business School in Melbourne. He was awarded the Centenary Medal in June 2003 by the Australian Government for service to industry and society.

Keith has had a wide and diversified career in senior management in a multinational environment in line and human resource management in both functional and regional corporate settings. This experience was gained in Australia and in the UK, the Middle East and south-east Asia  He has also had some 10 years of consulting experience in Australia and south-east Asia in a wide range of industries including oil, gas, mining, pharmaceutical, banking and financial services, professional services, and government

 

Steven Porter

Manager Assets Planning & Delivery

Steven Porter, appointed in October 2002 is responsible for shaping the direction of the organisations asset utilisation and development. He has over 20 years experience in both public and private sectors of the water industry including developing and implementing strategic and business plans, management of client/customer relationships and extensive experience at developing strategies for asset and resource use and planning for asset development (growth).

 

 

Abigail Adams

Investment Manager

Abigail Adams was appointed to the Management Team as Investment Manager in February 2008. Her responsibilities include managing and overseeing the financial disciplines required in the process of undertaking major expenditures. Abigail lived in the United States for 10 years, where she worked on financial and strategic aspects of large real-estate transactions, and the operations and land development of ski resorts. She has an MBA from the University of Washington.

 

Christopher Leighton
Chief Financial Officer

Christopher Leighton  B.Bus. FCPA  was appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer in March 2008. He is responsible for maintaining and developing the Corporations financial management systems, and providing a full range of financial and accounting services. He has over 20 years experience in senior financial roles within the Public and Private sectors having most recently run a consulting business providing services to Victorian Government Departments including the Department of Justice, Department of Sustainability & Environment, Department of Primary Industries and the Department of Planning and Community Development. He is also Chair of the Audit Committee for the Victorian Office of the Public Advocate.
